Track and field rolls into Day 3 of competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday.
Headlining Saturday’s slate of competition are five medal events in the 4x400m relay mixed final, women’s triple jump final, men’s decathlon 1500 meters, women’s 100-meter final and the men’s shot put final.

All eyes will be on Sha’Carri Richardson in the women’s 100-meter final, as she is competing in her first Olympic Games after being suspended due to a positive drug test before the start of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Richardson ran a blazing 10.71 seconds in the 100-meter qualifier at the U.S. Olympic trials in June to secure her spot in Paris.
Team USA shot putter Ryan Crouser will look to win his third consecutive gold medal in the men’s shot put final after winning gold at both the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Other events on Saturday’s docket include the men’s decathlon 110-meter hurdle, the men’s decathlon discus throw and javelin, plus the women’s 800-meter and men’s 1500-meter repechage.
