The Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Pizza Pilgrims, the Neapolitan pizza brand, has signed for its latest site at 219 King’s Road.

Pizza Pilgrims will open the prominent 2,200 sq ft space in mid-November, boasting an Capri-inspired experience for visitors. Serving as a key gateway into the Sloane Stanley Estate, Pizza Pilgrims will provide up to 80 covers both inside and out, as well as an intimate basement dining room that can transform into ‘Cinema Paradiso’, delivering an experiential element for the community of Chelsea and beyond.

Designed to take consumers on an hour-long trip to Capri, the Chelsea site will mimic the 1950s Italian La Dolce Vita, delivering fun and nostalgia to the King’s Road. Pizza Pilgrim’s one-of-a-kind design adds to Sloane Stanley’s critical mass of independent restaurants, such as the recently opened Alley Cats, Dez Amore, and Josephine, and the imminent launch of Fantomas in the coming weeks.

Thom Elliot, Co-Founder at Pizza Pilgrims, said: “We are really excited to be opening on such an iconic street in London. We fell in love with the site when we first set eyes on it – and as always are excited to bring something a bit different to the Pizza Pilgrims experience with a unique, Capri-inspired design and fun cinema space downstairs. Our dad ran a pub off the King’s Rd many moons ago – so it has always been a special place to us! See you soon Chelsea.”

Hannah Grievson, Property Director at Sloane Stanley, added: “219 King’s Road is one of our most prominent units on the Estate, and so needed an operator that would deliver a real ‘wow’ factor. Pizza Pilgrims are experts in creating spaces that deliver high-quality food and a vibrant atmosphere. We are excited to see its Capri vision come to life on the King’s Road.”

Pizza Pilgrims will join several retailers and operators across King’s Road and Fulham Road, as well as luxury health club, Third Space, which has recently signed for a new location as the brand continues its expansion across the capital.

Miles Commercial and Levy Real Estate represented the Sloane Stanley Estate in the deal.
