Monday Night Football live updates: Lions fend off Seahawks as Titans grab first win of the season

It took a perfect outing from Jared Goff, who even caught a touchdown pass himself, but the Detroit Lions fended off Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.

The Lions pushed ahead late to grab a 42-29 win over the Seahawks at Ford Field in the second of two “Monday Night Football” games to wrap up the week. That marked Seattle’s first loss of the year.

Goff was perfect in what was a wildly entertaining matchup. He went 18-of-18 for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He threw a 70-yard touchdown to Jameson Williams in the second half, and he caught a 7-yard pass from Amon-Ra St. Brown for a score himself.

Smith had a huge night, too. He threw for 395 yards and a touchdown in the loss for Seattle. DK Metcalf had 104 yards on seven catches, too.

In the first game of the night, it was Mason Rudolph — not Will Levis — who led the Tennessee Titans to their first win of the season. The Titans rolled to a dominant 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins in South Florida, which moved them to 1-3 on the year. Rudolph replaced Levis early in the first quarter after he went down with an injury, and he carried the team the rest of the way. He finished going 9-of-17 for 85 yards. Tony Pollard ran for 88 yards and a score to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins used third-string quarterback Tyler Huntley, as both Tua Tagovailoa and Skylar Thompson are dealing with various injuries. Huntley went 12-of-20 for 81 yards.
