Tyson Fury will hold an even more massive weight advantage over Oleksandr Usyk the second time around.
The former heavyweight champion tipped the scales at 281 pounds on Friday at the official Usyk vs. Fury 2 weigh-ins, almost 20 pounds heavier than his first meeting with Usyk.
Usyk, the reigning WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight champion, weighed in at 226 pounds, giving Fury a gargantuan 55-pound advantage heading into Saturday’s rematch at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“Nothing,” Usyk said when asked what he was feeling following a brief but uneventful final staredown.
Fury left the stage without commenting after facing off.
Fury held a 38.5-pound advantage over Usyk this past May for the duo’s first bout, which Usyk won by split decision to be crowned as boxing’s first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000 and the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the sport’s current four-belt era. Fury weighed 262 pounds for that bout while Usyk came in at 223.5 pounds.
Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) now face off again Saturday night with three belts on the line after Usyk was forced to vacate his IBF title in order to fulfill his rematch clause with Fury.
The Usyk-Fury 2 fight card begins Saturday at 10 a.m. ET and airs live on DAZN pay-per-view for $39.99.
Uncrowned will have live round-by-round coverage of the entire card.
