Trump communications director Steven Cheung mocked Jen Psaki for leaving stationery at the White House, sparking a fierce comeback by the former press secretary on Thursday.
Cheung launched his petty attack by telling followers that stationery with Psaki’s name at the top had been found in a cabinet at the White House, where Psaki served under ex-President Joe Biden. Cheung provided photographic evidence of the “relic of the past.”
“Apparently @jrpsaki was soooooo important she had personalized note cards made to remind people how ‘important’ she was,” he sniped.
Psaki, now an MSNBC host, retaliated:
“Would hope you had more important things to worry about (you know the cost of eggs, childcare, veterans waiting for care…could literally go on),” she wrote, “but hey since you raised it I purchased these myself to write notes to colleagues and staff to thank them for their work and also to write back to people who wrote me including kids. How dare I!”
Cheung tried to pick himself up after Psaki’s knockdown blow.
“You shouldn’t have left your shit laying around,” he replied. “Clean up after yourself.”
In this X fight, we give Psaki the easy victory.
