atria Watford, owned by property company SGS and asset managed by Global Mutual in conjunction with Savills as property managers, is pleased to announce that Rock Up, the indoor climbing operator, is opening a new ropes and zip wire course in the centre’s atrium space.

The new attraction – which is the first of Rock Up’s to extend out of its unit across a shopping centre atrium –   is expected to open Summer 2024, and will also include a 2,000 sq ft extension to Rock Up’s unit, to add more space for party rooms.

Having first opened at the centre in 2018, Rock Up’s new course will join 27 other fun climbing walls, towering over eight metres, with multiple routes to the peaks. Rock Up also has two large soft play areas for children aged 0-2 and 3-7 years old, as well as a café serving fresh food and drinks.

atria Watford is a leading retail and leisure destination, covering 1.4 million sq ft, situated in Watford, an affluent North London neighbourhood. The centre is home to hundreds of brands, of all shapes and sizes – from small independents through to household names.

Aaran Eade, Managing Director Rock Up UK, comments:We are excited to introduce this thrilling new feature to our community. It’s not just about climbing; it’s about reaching new heights in how we engage with our environment and each other. This course is a testament to our dedication to creating unique, enjoyable, and safe experiences for everyone.”
