Alexa Grasso is getting back to work.
The former UFC flyweight champion is set to face fast-rising contender Natalia Silva on May 10 at UFC 315, which goes down at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The booking marks Grasso’s first non-title bout since her October 2022 win over Viviane Araujo.
UFC’s Canadian broadcast partner, Sportsnet, announced the news Tuesday.
With the matchup, Grasso (16-4-1), Uncrowned’s No. 7-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world, finally steps out of the Valentina Shevchenko trilogy that dominated her professional life for more than two years.
The Mexico native stunned the MMA world in 2023 by capturing the UFC title with a fourth-round submission of Shevchenko at UFC 285. Shevchenko had earned seven consecutive defenses of the UFC flyweight title to that point — still a UFC record for the division. Neither woman emerged victorious in the immediate rematch, which ended in a controversial split draw. Then Grasso lost a one-sided decision in the trilogy bout at UFC 306, ending the pair’s series at 1-1-1.

Grasso now returns to the flyweight ladder to face Silva (18-5-1), a top-ranked up-and-comer who punctuated her perfect 6-0 UFC start with a decision win over ex-champ Jessica Andrade in September.
In addition to Andrade, Brazil’s Silva has earned Octagon wins over contenders Araujo, Andrea Lee and Jasmine Jasudavicius.
A main event for UFC 315 has yet to be announced.
