Lilly King is scheduled to compete in her third Olympics. The 27-year-old Indiana University alum qualified in the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke races in La Defense Arena near Paris.
King has won two Olympic gold medals − both at Rio in 2016 − in the 100 breast and 4×100 medley relay. She won two silvers and a bronze at the 2020 Games in Tokyo.
King is from Evansville Reitz High School, where she won two 2015 state championships − 200-yard individual medley, 100 breaststroke.

What is Lilly King’s 100 breaststroke time?
She won the 100 breast at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in 1 minute, 5.43 seconds. She also qualified in the 200 breast, coming in second at the trials in 2:21.93.
Did Lilly King retire?
No, but she can see it. King has announced that this would be her last U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials. So she plans to retire before 2028.
Where did Lilly King go to college?

Lilly King vs. Russian Yulia Efimova
Russia’s Yulia Efimova was the reigning 100 breast world champion when she reportedly failed a doping test in early 2016. She was allowed to compete in the Rio Olympics, and King loudly disagreed with that decision. King won the Cold War-style rivalry, posting an Olympic-record 1:04.93 as Efimova finished second. King also topped Efimova in a women’s medley relay, which with U.S. won in world record time.
