Brie Larson continues to share training for The Marvels, demonstrating her one arm push up abilities in a video the star uploaded to Twitter.
Brie Larson continues to impress fans by sharing the strength training she is undertaking to prepare for The Marvels. The actress is once again donning the mantle of Captain Marvel, a.k.a. Carol Danvers, for the follow up to the 2019 film, Captain Marvel, set to release in theaters November 11th in 2022. The Marvels, which recently released an updated design for the logo, follows the hero’s journey, as well as her developing relationship with Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).
Larson is no stranger to the intense training that comes when tasked with a project. For the first Captain Marvel, Larson endured a difficult workout regimen, in addition to combat training to prepare for the film’s fight scenes. The most impressive display of her effort was when the actress pushed a 5,000 pound Jeep for nearly a minute.
Larson continues to demonstrate the drive and passion she has while preparing for the sequel. Larson just posted a video to her Twitter account of her latest workout, a series of one arm push-ups. The actress wrote that she spent her morning performing these, in addition to singing some Olivia Rodrigo karaoke. Check out the tweet and workout video below:
Over the course of the past few months, Larson has shared a variety of her training for The Marvels over social media. She has shown fans the strength training she is enduring, including increasingly difficult techniques like a one armed pull up. At this point, one arm push-ups are more than manageable. Seeing the actress work as hard as she can may tease big action for The Marvels.
The first film featured many explosive and close quarters fight scenes that drew in viewers immediately. However, the big action may fall on the shoulders of her co-stars as well. While not much has been seen of Vellani’s Kamala Khan in terms of action, early images from the upcoming Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel, have teased her in costume ready to fight whatever is thrown her way. For Rambeau, although shown using her powers in the climactic battle of WandaVision, the full extent of the characters abilities and capabilities have yet to be seen.
More than anything, Larson’s updating of her training on social media showcases the actress’ love for her character. Whether it is posting the next physical challenge for herself or celebrating the opening of Disneyland’s Avenger Campus, Larson truly loves to portray Captain Marvel in the MCU. This love and dedication for the character translates very well throughout the films, and will hopefully lead to bigger projects to come. Larson proves anyone can become a hero if they put in the work. As for now, her focus is on what’s in front of her, and that is delivering a powerful performance for The Marvels.
