Wolves have confirmed former Benfica boss Bruno Lage is their new head coach, replacing fellow countryman Nuno Espirito Santo at Molineux.
Nuno stepped down at the end of the 2020/21 season after four years in charge of Wolves, with Lage now tasked with guiding the club back into the top half of the Premier League table next season.
The 45-year-old won the Primeira Liga title with Benfica within a few months of taking over at the club in what was the first head coach job of his lengthy career.
Lage has previously worked in British football as an assistant to Carlos Carvalhal at both Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea between 2015 and 2019.
He is noted for his work helping to develop young players and has been an influential figure in the careers of Joao Felix, Ruben Dias and Carlos Vinicius, among others.
