Camilla Parker Bowles has been out and about this month and on a couple of occasions she has worn a cape over her outfits. Express.co.uk spoke to stylist Melita Latham about the Duchess of Cornwall’s choice of jacket.
This isn’t the first time Camilla has been seen in the cropped black cape.
Last December, she stepped out with Prince Charles to visit a London nightclub supporting the capitals nighttime economy and opted for the caped black jacket designed by Fiona Clare.
For the first time this year, the royal wore the black cape when attending a commemorative service at St Bride’s Church in London earlier this week.
The service she was present at was to commemorate journalists, camera-crew and support staff who have lost their lives on the frontline.
Camilla wore the cape over a dark teal blue dress, which had gold and red buttons down the middle and a small collar.
That afternoon, the Duchess of Cornwall changed her dress but stuck to wearing the cape, black knee high boots and tights, and black leather gloves.
This time, the royal was at the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Factory in Richmond, visiting The Poppy Factory where remembrance poppies are made ahead of Sunday’s appearance at the Cenotaph.
Speaking about the cape Camilla wore, Melita said: “Winter has arrived and Camilla’s go to cape is now back out from her wardrobe and back on her shoulders.
Sadcartoon added: “The Duchess looks lovely.”
“Duchess of Cornwall looks absolutely stunning at the Poppy Factory,” eunicepbrown2021 wrote.
La.deroche added: “Lovely Duchess in red! She is beautiful in every way.”
While pearlqn2000 mentioned: “I love her cape!”
