Charlene & Albert: Body language shows ‘no synchronicity’ in reunion between couple

Princess Charlene has been staying in South Africa since May 2021, reportedly undergoing surgery earlier this month. But earlier today, Princess Charlene took to Instagram to show she was reunited with her husband Prince Albert of Monaco and her six-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella in South Africa. The Princess captioned her photos on Instagram saying: “I am so thrilled to have my family back with me.

“(Gabriella decided to give herself a haircut!!!) Sorry my Bella I tried my best to fix it.”

Two of the pictures show the family of four together in front of beautiful trees, with Prince Albert standing while Charlene sits and embraces her children.

In two other images, the young twins can be seen playing together in a tree, while in another photo Prince Jacques is seen hugging his mother while she looks into the distance.

Charlene’s absence from the Principality of Monaco had created a lot of speculation about the royal couple’s marriage.

Judi James, a body language specialist, spoke to Express.co.uk about Charlene’s Instagram photos.

Judi said: “There is no attempt from Charlene to adopt a husband/wife pose of togetherness here and no synchronicity, closeness or apparent empathy visible.

“With his smart shirt and awkward posture and gestures, Albert looks removed from the unit here rather than at the hub of it.

“Charlene sustains her ‘free spirit’ image here, with no trace of anything regal.

“She sits on the ground, legs splayed in her long suede boots, looking into the distance in one of the photos as though signalling she might be gazing at a new horizon.

DON’T MISS:

“She looks relaxed and confident in a way that she has not always looked previously in her marriage.

“The way this family unit is posed makes it look almost like an adult and three children as Charlene’s new haircut makes her look so young and her poses bind her in a group with her children rather than Albert.

“It’s interesting how strongly the children seem to identify with their mother rather than with Albert here.

“Her daughter has even copied her mother’s trait of radical haircuts while her son performs a ‘peace’ V sign beside them.

“The three of them cuddle together here while Albert poses awkwardly behind them, leaning in to place a tense-looking hand onto his son’s shoulder.

“Prince Albert and their children, Crown Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella will join her during her recovery period.”

Charlene missed out on spending her 10th wedding anniversary with her husband in July.

Rumours have swirled about the European royal couple’s marriage since their wedding in 2011 when Princess Charlene was famously in tears during the ceremony.

Their lavish wedding ceremony took place on 1 and 2 July 2011 at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

Princess Charlene gave birth to twins Jacques and Gabriella on 10 December 2014.
