Deontay Wilder is at a crossroads.

On Saturday he will fight Zhilei Zhang of China in an intriguing heavyweight bout and with a lot to prove.

Wilder, the former WBC heavyweight champion, has lost three of his past four fights.

“I’ve had a successful career and this is a do or die moment for me,” Wilder, 38, told Seconds Out.

Zhang, at 6-foot-6, wields a powerful left hand and is 26-2-1 with 21 knockouts. But the 6-7 Wilder has proved to be arguably the hardest hitter in boxing while compiling a record of 43-3-1 with 42 knockouts.

He failed to beat Tyson Fury during their trilogy, but he knocked down the Brit four times over the three fights – a split draw and two losses for Wilder (a.k.a. the Brown Bomber). Now he’ll be facing the 41-year-old Zhang.

“The savage of the Bronze Bomber is back,” Wilder said.

Or could this be the final sighting?
