KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Travis Kelce has plenty of titles to his name. The tight end, the three-time Super Bowl champion, the partner of world-famous pop star Taylor Swift, and the brother of People’s Sexiest Man Alive.
But, nobody ever would have thought the local legend would adopt a new title: Travis Kelce, horse owner?

On Tuesday afternoon, the CEO of Team Valor International, Barry Irwin, announced that Kelce and the Zoldan family — a family known for its long history with horse racing — now own a share of a 3-year-old racehorse, coincidentally (or conveniently) named Swift Delivery.
“It’s very exciting,” Irwin told The Associated Press in a phone interview. “I met him at the Kentucky Derby and got to spend some time with him and stuff, and we talked about horses and everything. When this horse came to light and it was owned by one of my partners already, with the name I figured this has got to be a no-brainer.”
According to ESPN, Kelce is the friend of Phantom Fireworks CEO Bruce Zoldan’s son, Alex, and back in May, the tight end was spotted with the family at the Kentucky Derby.
Now, months later, the Ohio native and the Ohio-based family have joined together for an ownership stake in the ironically named gelding.
As most people are aware, Kelce has been dating pop star Taylor Swift for about a year. Since the relationship went public, the couple has been spotted at a number of places, including international stages and hometown fields.

But maybe next year, fans might get the opportunity to see Tayvis out on the track representing Swift Delivery in yet another derby race.
The exact amount of Kelce’s share costs is unknown to the public, but given Kelce’s latest three-year, $100 million deal alongside his brother Jason for the “New Heights Podcast,” the investment can’t make too much of a dent.
Who knows, though? The young horse has proven to be quite the impressive racer with two first-place wins already under its saddle at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. And according to horse trainer Mark Casse, Swift Delivery has the “potential to go on and do big things.”
