A.J. Brown’s hamstring injury is going to keep him out for more than just a single game.
The Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver told ESPN on Monday night during their matchup with the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field that he expects to be out for “a couple weeks” with the injury.

It’s unclear how long Brown will be out, or if the Eagles are considering placing him on injured reserve.
Brown first appeared on the Eagles’ injury report on Friday after his hamstring acted up in practice. He then missed Saturday’s practice, and the team officially ruled him out of Monday night’s game in Philadelphia on Sunday.
Brown had 1,456 receiving yards last season, which marked his second consecutive campaign with at least 1,400 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns. The 27-year-old signed a three-year, $96 million contract extension with the team earlier this year, too. That deal, which briefly made him the highest paid wide receiver in the league, will keep him in Philadelphia through the 2029 season.
Brown shined for the Eagles in their season opener against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil last week, too. He had a team-high 119 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches in the 34-29 win.
With Brown now sidelined, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will likely turn to DeVonta Smith in his absence. Smith, who had 84 yards on seven catches in their win over the Packers, had a single catch for five yards through the first quarter on Monday night.
