Eldon Square is expanding on its wide selection of dining options as one of the UK’s favourite and fastest growing food retailers, Wingstop UK, is set to open its doors in Eldon Square’s Grey’s Quarter in early 2025.

Since launching in 2018, Wingstop UK has grown to over 50 sites across the UK with over 2,200 staff. Located close to The Alchemist, the new Wingstop UK is expected to bring in a younger crowd to Grey’s Quarter thanks to its core Gen Z demographic.

Wingstop UK will serve up the usual delicious wings, tenders, burgers, and sides always cooked to order, and hand-sauced-and-tossed in a choice of ten distinctive flavours. Customers can also choose from brand new milkshakes, freestyle fizzy drinks or Camden Town Beer, as well as a churro selection for dessert.

The new restaurant comes as Eldon Square is continuing its plans to expand the mix of brand partners beyond retail, and into an exciting future for the centre, which will include over 200,000 sq ft of new leisure and entertainment opportunities serving the city centre.

Kitty Vaughan, Head of UK Leisure and F&B at Pradera Lateral, commented: “Eldon Square continues to flourish and welcoming Wingstop UK is sure to excite the young, vibrant demographic within the city. We anticipate Wingstop UK will not only attract new customers to the centre, but will also resonate strongly with students, young families and match day goers, enhancing the already huge footfall the city centre location already receives.

The inclusion of Wingstop UK into Grey’s Quarter, as it continues to grow and be rejuvenated alongside the centre’s ambitious growth plans, is a sign of the centre’s commitment to becoming a ‘go to’ leisure, dining and entertainment hotspot in Newcastle.”

Chris Sherriff, Co-CEO of Lemon Pepper Holdings, master franchisee, Wingstop UK, said: “We are excited to be joining Eldon Square, bringing our delicious wings and flavours to Newcastle city centre. As a prime shopping destination with high footfall and strong appeal to both visitors and tourists, Eldon Square is the perfect location for our new site. We’re confident that our Newcastle launch will be a great success.”
