Around 1,000 products of Swedish retailer Ikea, including mattresses, are running out due to the ongoing supply crisis. 22 UK and Ireland stores have confirmed they are experiencing a major shortage.
The Swedish company confirmed it is seeing 10 percent of the stock affected as a result of supply issues.
The supply chain crisis is blamed on Brexit and the pandemic.
The news comes after locals councils warned residents about collection delays due to bin lorry driver shortage.
Councils across the UK have been telling residents their waste will not be collected for days as they are experiencing a shortage of more than 100,000 drivers.
The huge shortage in HGV drivers has also affected many supermarkets as well as fast-food chains such as McDonald’s and Nando’s.
Costa Coffee, Pizza Hut, Wetherspoon and Toby Carvery have all announced they are also suffering with supply chain issues.
