Jake Paul is all set to step into the ring against the mixed martial artist and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fighter Mike Perry. The highly anticipated eight-round cruiserweight boxing match is scheduled to take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, July 20.
Paul’s journey to the ring has seen a change in plans, as he was initially set to face Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, this weekend but the fight had to be rescheduled to a later date. This decision was not taken lightly, as it was made in the best interest of the fighters health after Tyson’s unexpected health episode, a flare-up of an ulcer, led to this change.
Paul, with a 9-1 record and six knockouts, and Mike Tyson, with a 50-6 record, have both agreed to a new November 15th date for the Paul vs. Tyson bout. But before that, Paul will face Perry, who has a 0-1 record, in a fight that Paul himself has stated will be instrumental in his preparation for the Tyson bout.
