Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, is set to surprise his fans on Saturday, July 20. In a twist of events, he will not be facing the heavyweight legend Mike Tyson as originally planned. Instead, he will be taking on the formidable mixed martial artist and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fighter Michael Perry in an eight-round fight at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Paul was originally slated to fight Tyson in Arlington, Texas, at the AT&T Stadium but was forced to be reschedule due to Tyson suffering a Ulcer flare-up that jeopardized his heath.
While Paul, with a record of 9-1 with six knockouts, has agreed to the new Nov. 15 date for the Paul vs. Tyson bout, he will first enter the ring against Perry, with a record of 0-1, in a high-stakes event titled ‘Fear No Man,’ which will be available on DAZN. This fight serves as a thrilling preview of what’s to come in the much-anticipated bout with Tyson.
With unwavering determination, Jake Paul declares, “I’m going to secure the victory and give everyone a glimpse of the intensity I’m bringing to the ring against Mike Tyson. Join me on DAZN PPV as I make my triumphant return to Tampa and send ‘Platinum’ Perry the Platypus back to bare knuckle for good,” in a statement to ESPN.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry predictions
Michael Bisping: Paul is making a mistake
Bisping told TalkSport: “Mike Perry is a fighter. Mike Perry wasn’t necessarily the best Jui Jitsu artist or had the best wrestling, but there’s not a fight Mike Perry won’t take. He is the epitome of a real fighter. He’s an absolute star in the bare-knuckle organisation. Jake Paul, I think he’s made a tremendous mistake here because [Perry] is a real fighter, he’s going to get in shape, he’s not afraid to mix it up and he’s going to go right at Jake Paul.”
Sean O’Malley: Paul beats Perry
O’Malley said on a recent episode of TimboSugar Show: “I think Jake Paul beats Mike Perry. I think it’s more of a competitive match, [Mike Tyson] is a little bit too aged, weathered. But I think Mike Perry vs. Jake Paul is a very interesting, very competitive fight, probably the most competitive fight that Jake’s had outside of Tommy Fury. I’m very interested to see it…that’s a tough fight to predict. Mike’s in it, but he’s in bare-knuckle, it’s a different sport. Different size, space to fight in, range, it’s very similar but very different. Jake’s been boxing, Mike’s been bare-knuckle boxing.”
