Kurdish Members of Parliament in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have expressed concerns over the ongoing crisis in Syria, emphasizing the urgency of electing a parliamentary president to address the threats facing Syrian Kurds. Ali Hama Salih, a KRG parliamentarian, called for opening the Smelka border crossing between the Kurdistan Region and the Syrian Autonomous Administration to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
