Merry Hill has announced that renowned restaurant group Loungers, has opened Toledo Lounge at Merry Hill, as one of the final casual dining additions to the destination’s 55,000 sq ft leisure quarter.
The new 3,200 sq ft restaurant at super regional centre, Merry Hill, is the group’s first Lounge in a covered mall environment. It features heavily patterned wallpapers, oversized vintage sofas, eclectic artwork, and statement pendant lighting to create the signature ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere. A varied and innovative all-day menu is available, from lazy brunches to relaxed evening tapas, salads and burgers.
Toledo Lounge’s opening adds to the £12 million investment in the leisure quarter over the past three years. 2024 was a milestone year for the leisure quarter, with both catering spending and catering conversion rates surpassing those of other regional malls, and now fully established as the most popular entry into Merry Hill.
Alistair Winning, Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, commented: “The leisure quarter is going from strength to strength, with record performance and a nearly complete collection of best-in-class casual dining, strengthening our F&B portfolio. The arrival of Toledo Lounge builds on this momentum, bringing a welcoming space that aligns perfectly with what we have created here; a vibrant destination for visitors to enjoy as part of either a full day-out or a leisure and dining specific visit.”
John English, Head of Community at Loungers, said: “We’re so excited to be part of Merry Hill and to bring our ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere and innovative menu to such a thriving destination. Community is at the heart of what we do, and we’ve made sure Toledo Lounge is a welcoming space for families, with games, colouring books, and more.”
