The long-awaited fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is just five weeks away, with Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions assembling a full fight card for this explosive November bout.
The build-up to the fight has been an adventure. The bout itself had to be rescheduled after Tyson dealt with a medical issue that interrupted his training regimen, though the former heavyweight champion has come through that and is on track to step into the ring at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
Paul took the need to reschedule in stride, filling the original July 20 date by claiming a TKO win over bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry in six rounds. That improved his boxing record to 10-1 (with seven wins by knockout).
On top of being the exclusive place to watch the fight, Netflix will also be the home for “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson,” a docuseries following both fighters as they prepare for this highly-anticipated bout. The three-episode series will capture two of the most unconventional characters in boxing history in the gym as they gear up for a huge fight at one of the biggest stadiums in the country.
