Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will be featured in a three-part Netflix documentary series that will be released before their fight scheduled for Nov. 15, the streaming service said.
Netflix, which will live stream the fight, said the documentary series entitled “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson’’ will provide “intimate access to the fighters.’’
“The documentary series will take viewers behind-the-scenes of Paul and Tyson’s respective training camps to capture the incredible grit, determination and physical demands needed to prepare for what will be an explosive, can’t miss professional boxing mega-event,’’ Netflix said in a press release.
The first two episodes of the documentary series featuring the 58-year-old Tyson and the 27-year-old Paul will premiere Nov. 7.
The third episode will premiere Nov. 12, three days before the fight set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“Fans will gain a fresh perspective to the unprecedented match-up through interviews with those closest to the fighters and raw, unfiltered moments with family and friends,’’ Netflix said.
Tyson (50-6, 44 KO’s) will be fighting professionally for the first time since 2005.
Paul (10-1, 7 KO’s) made his pro debut in 2020 and is coming off a sixth-round TKO of Mike Perry in July.
The documentary also will feature the lead-up to the co-main event, which pits Katie Taylor against Amanda Serrano in a super lightweight bout with four world titles on the line.
Netflix also announced the Paul-Tyson event will start at 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 15.
In addition to the main event and co-main, there are two other fights on the undercard, according to BoxRec. Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos will fight for the WBC world welterweight title. Neeraj Goyat and Whindersson Nunes will square off in a middleweight bout.
All four bouts will air on Netflix, spokesperson Julie Frazier said.
