The time has come. After years without a trip solely for pleasure, I’m going with a group of girlfriends to Napa. We’ve been planning this trip for a while, and we leave tomorrow! We rented a house with a pool for a long weekend, and we’ve been joking about how we’re going to emulate coastal grandma vibes with our outfits.
But, in all seriousness, I hate packing. I tend to put it off right up until the last minute, but this trip is different. I planned the outfits on my Napa packing list ahead of time so I can easily pull pieces to wear for the various activities we plan to do.
One of the perks of traveling with people who are great at organizing an agenda is that we have detailed itineraries and plans made in advance. I’m someone who often wings it so this is really a treat. It also made it easier to pack. We’re visiting a handful of vineyards, two restaurants, and a spa, and we’re spending time at our rental property to enjoy the pool and cook a homemade meal. I planned outfits around these activities! It was a really fun way to decide what to bring.
Here are the core pieces on my Napa packing list!
1 & 2
Summersalt Effortless Shirtdress and Palazzo Pant (gifted)
Price: $80 each
This outfit is flowy, relaxed, and chic! I am thinking of wearing this shirtdress and these pants to the spa paired with the bodysuit below and a hair scarf. It will be comfortable enough to slip on after a relaxing facial and chic enough to wear to a winery later in the afternoon.
3
J. Crew Classic Button-Up Shirt
Price: $80
You can never go wrong with a classic button-up! The shirt pictured above is similar to one I own, as is this one. I personally like to size up for a loose fit, and I often purchase these from the men’s section (or I’ll borrow one of Joe’s). I’ll throw this over my swimsuit or to lounge around the house in the morning.
4
Mille Beja Top (gifted)
Price: $172
I plan on wearing this top with my favorite pair of mom jeans to a vineyard with low-heeled sandals. It is a different cut for me and I’m excited to try a new silhouette!
I bought my favorite mom jeans a year ago from H&M. The exact pair is no longer available but they have plenty of similar styles that are in stock!
5
Maria Stanley Bodysuit
Price: $145
This bodysuit is perfect. It’s double-layered cotton, meaning I can wear it without a bra and still have enough support. The boxy neckline is so flattering. I plan to wear this with the white matching set above and mom jeans as a backup outfit option.
6
Mille Adele Dress (gifted)
Price: $238
This dress is so comfortable and so pretty! I will most likely wear it the night we cook dinner at the house.
7
Zara Hot Pink Mini Dress
Price: $36
I found this dress during a trip to Zara at the mall. I grabbed it without trying it on and was so happy I did. Most of all, I love the color, the cut, and the loose-fitting style (so I don’t have to think about eating or drinking too much when wearing it). I will wear this to dinner one night!
8
Sea Level Bandeau One-Piece Swimsuit
Price: $110
I’m keeping things simple when it comes to swimwear with this black number, partially because I feel comfortable wearing it with absolutely zero tan.
For all the one-piece swimsuits I’ll be sporting this summer, head to this blog post!
9
Rifle Paper Co. x Summersalt Silky PJ Set (gifted)
Price: $125
These luxurious pajamas are so comfortable for sleeping and are perfect for lounging around the house in the mornings and evenings too.
