Bonhams has appointed Chabi Nouri as its new Global CEO, starting October 2024. She will operate from Bonhams’ headquarters in New Bond Street, London.

Chabi Nouri is Swiss-born. She has extensive experience in international luxury and retail. Previously, she served as CEO of Piaget, a Richemont-owned watch and jewelry company, for seven years. In 2022, she joined the Mirabaud Group as a Private Equity Partner. Her career began at Cartier, where she held various positions over ten years after graduating from Fribourg University in Switzerland.

In her response to the announcement of her her new appointment Auction House new Global CEO, Chabi Nouri expressed her enthusiasm for joining the auction house. She acknowledged the auction house’s long heritage, rich history, and strong values. Nouri emphasized Bonhams’ focus on digital transformation and its global reach. She looks forward to building on these foundations and enhancing Bonhams’ core DNA.

Bonhams Welcomes Chabi Nouri as Global CEO

Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, Bonhams Executive Chairman, welcomes Chabi Nouri as the auction house global CEO. He expressed his excitement about Nouri’s appointment and praised her as a strong brand-builder with proven abilities in digital innovation. Hoejsgaard highlighted Nouri’s background in luxury, which will bring valuable insights to Bonhams.

A Historic Auction House

Bonhams, one of the original Georgian London auction houses, was founded in 1793. Owned by Epiris, a UK-based private equity firm, Bonhams boasts 14 salerooms worldwide and conducts sales in over 60 collecting categories. The auction house has strategically placed showrooms in key locations across the globe. In 2022, Bonhams embarked on a strategic expansion. It acquired Bukowskis in Stockholm, Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, Skinner in Boston, and Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris. This move significantly broadened Bonhams’ reach and influence. The year 2023 marked a historic milestone for the auction house. The combined efforts of Bonhams and its network resulted in a turnover of $1,142,000,000. This achievement is the highest-ever figure in the company’s history.
