Nate Tice: Jonah Savaiinaea has a good, thick build and never looks out of sorts as a player. He’s able to stay in balance and in control as a run and pass blocker (although getting a tad too high at times in the run game).
He’s smart, plays with consistent hand placement and can really surprise pass rushers with his quickness.
Savaiinaea played at right tackle for the games that I studied, but he will be best served as a guard in the NFL (a position he has also played in his time at Arizona). He has good size and technique, but I think quicker NFL edge rushers will give him issues.
It’s funny how much of Savaiinaea’s game and how I view him remind me of his former teammate (and Packers first-round selection) Jordan Morgan.
Charles McDonald: Stop me if you’ve heard this before — big, versatile, athletic offensive lineman prospect.
Jonah Savaiinaea hit 20 miles per hour during his 40-yard dash run and might be able to start at multiple spots along the offensive line. He’s another talented player in a deep offensive line class.
