NFL news updates: Anthony Richardson's hip injury not so serious, Vikings remain undefeated

Week 4 is just about in the books, and we’re now left with just one undefeated team in the entire NFL: the Minnesota Vikings, led by their MVP candidate QB, Sam Darnold. Just like Geno Smith two seasons ago with the Seattle Seahawks, a quarterback’s entire future can change with the right combination of coaches and teammates.

While no one is concerned about Darnold right now, everyone is concerned about Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts. Not due to his performance overall (that’s an issue for a different day) but due to his hip. He left Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers (a 27-24 win for the Colts) with a hip issue and wasn’t able to return (he was replaced by old faithful Joe Flacco). But reports Monday morning indicate that the injury isn’t that bad, and the Colts were just taking major precautions with him on Sunday.

  • Anthony Richardson’s hip injury reportedly not so bad

Good news for Colts fans: the injury that took QB Anthony Richardson out of Sunday’s win against the Steelers doesn’t appear to be that bad. Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reported that the Colts were acting with an abundance of caution when they ruled him out, but he appears to have avoided major injury.
