The New Orleans Saints had been a buzzsaw over the first two weeks of the season, but the Philadelphia Eagles put a stop to that in Week 3. Their defense managed to prevent Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara from stomping all over them, and thanks to late surges from Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert, the Eagles managed to eke out a win in New Orleans.
There were more surprises ahead. The New York Giants, led by their standout WR Malik Nabers, held off the Cleveland Browns. The Minnesota Vikings blew out the Houston Texans on the back of another great performance from QB Sam Darnold. The Denver Broncos stunned the surging Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a strong win (QB Bo Nix’s first in the NFL). The Green Bay Packers didn’t have Jordan Love under center against the Tennessee Titans, but it didn’t matter because Malik Willis took care of business, doubling up the Titans.
