Columbus native Simone Biles is heading back to the Olympics.
Biles, 27, secured her trip to the Paris Olympics with her victory at the U.S. Olympics gymnastics trials in Minneapolis on Sunday, finishing more than five points ahead of the rest of the field with a two-day all-around score of 117.225, USA TODAY reports.

Who is Simone Biles?
USA TODAY calls Biles “The greatest gymnast of her generation.” Born in Ohio but raised in Texas, Biles will soon be making her third appearance at the Olympics, coming back from the “twisties” at the Tokyo games in 2020. She has taken home seven Olympic medals, including four golds.
During this weekend’s Olympic trials in Minneapolis, Biles’ floor exercise routine got a standing ovation from the crowd, USA TODAY reported. The routine has created buzz on social media and become a fan favorite. It earned Biles a score of 14.275.
Simone Biles’ father spotted wearing Cleveland Guardians hat
Simone Biles’ father, Ronald—in the stands in Minneapolis this weekend with his wife Nellie—was spotted sporting a Cleveland Guardians hat.
His choice of headwear generated some commentary on X, formerly Twitter:

According to a People profile on the couple, they’ve attended all of Biles competitions except one, when COVID-19 kept spectators out of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
