Former Florida soccer standouts Adriana Leon and Deanne Rose will travel across the pond to compete in the Paris Olympics, which runs from late July through early August.
Leon earned a spot among the 18 players on Canada’s 2024 Olympic squad roster while Rose heads to Europe as one of the country’s four alternates. Both were part of Canada’s Olympic gold medal team in Tokyo in 2021.
The women’s soccer competition will take place across seven different stadiums starting on Thursday, July 25 — a day prior to the opening ceremony. Canada opens up its Olympic schedule against New Zealand in the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, located in Saint-Etienne.
