Ukraine’s air force says it intercepted six missiles and 71 drones, while it successfully jammed the signal of 40 drones.
Russia fired seven ballistic missiles and 127 Shahed and other decoy drones at 11 Ukrainian regions overnight, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Ukraine’s Emergency Service said at least three districts in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv were struck, with one person killed and four injured in the Obolonskyi district. Two office buildings were reported to have been severely damaged.
“There was an alarm and then after the alarm started ringing the explosions started, said Hryhorii Danylovych, who works at a dry-cleaning service that was destroyed in the attack.
“There were three explosions, I even felt them in the apartment, because the bed moved from one place to another and the dog started to bark,” he said.
Ukrainian emergency services deployed a total of 120 rescuers with 30 vehicles to Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi, Obolonskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts.
The city of Kryvyi Rih was also attacked, damaging apartment buildings, offices and a local school.
No one was reported to have been killed or injured in the attacks on Kryvyi Rih, but an aid headquarters was set up nearby.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence has released footage of what it says shows artillery units using the Msta-S, Akatsia howitzers and Grad multiple rocket systems to attack various Ukrainian positions.
