Shedeur Sanders is making an appearance at the East-West Shrine Bowl this weekend, but the quarterback will not be playing. Sanders was spotted on the sideline of Saturday’s practice, and reportedly does not plan to participate in the game next week, per ESPN.
Instead, he’ll be networking. Sanders, who is projected as a top-two pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, met with multiple teams on Friday, per multiple reports. Included in that group were the teams with the first three picks in the draft: the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants.
Sanders was spotted speaking with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll during Saturday’s practice. The former Colorado QB had already shown some interest in the Giants, back when the team had the No. 1 overall pick.
Sanders also made a good impression on Titans coach Brian Callahan, who praised the 22-year-old quarterback after his introduction on Friday.
“You can tell he’s been raised right,” Callahan said, via the Titans. “He’s mature, he has a really poised way about him, and he seems like a really good kid. I enjoyed talking to him. And, you could tell he’s a guy who has been in the spotlight. He knows how to handle himself, he’s been paid money, so he has a financial perspective. It was a really good first impression.”
Callahan also had high praise for Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who is currently projected as the No. 1 overall pick by Yahoo Sports, calling him “incredibly talented.”
