Super Bowl 2025: Eagles continue to be the preferred team of bettors as 1.5-point underdogs

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to get more bets than the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

The Chiefs are still favored by 1.5 points over the Eagles, but the Eagles have received 52% of bets and 64% of the money bet against the spread at BetMGM as of Sunday morning. On Friday, bets on the Chiefs -1.5 points equaled just over half of the bets against the spread, while Eagles bets were getting 58% of the handle.

Even though the line hasn’t shifted, betting the Chiefs minus the points will net you a slightly better payout than if you bet the Eagles getting 1.5 points. The Eagles are -115 to cover, while the Chiefs are -105. If you bet $10 on the Eagles, you’d make $8.70 in profit. If you bet the Chiefs, you’d make $9.52.

The odds are flipped on the moneyline. The Chiefs are -115 to win the game straight up by any margin, and the Eagles are -105. If you’re looking to bet the game, the moneyline is probably the safest option given the close spread and odds.

The Eagles are also getting the most bets straight up as well. Philadelphia has gotten 60% of bets and 57% of the money on the moneyline.

The total has stayed at 48.5 all week, and bettors are slightly favoring the over. Nearly two-thirds of bets and 55% of the money bet on the over/under is on a game to feature 49 or more total points.

The most-bet player prop for the game is Eagles running back Saquon Barkley to go over 110.5 rushing yards at -130 odds. Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards during the regular season and has rushed for at least 118 yards in each of Philly’s three postseason games.

The Chiefs, meanwhile, have gone 18 games without allowing a player to rush for at least 100 yards and have not given up 100 yards to a player in the postseason since Steve Spagnuolo became the team’s defensive coordinator ahead of the 2019 season. The only player to rush for over 100 yards against the Chiefs this season is Lamar Jackson. He had 16 carries for 122 yards in Week 1.

Barkley is also getting the most bets to score a TD. Barkley has scored five TDs over his past two games and is -200 to score at any point during the game. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is -115 to score a rushing or receiving TD, while Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is +125.
