The hotly-anticipated Archie’s Atomic concept at Trafford Palazzo officially opened its doors to the public on 7th November at 10am.

The £3m site, which has created over 100 jobs in the construction and hospitality sectors, comprises a bright pink 5,000 sq. ft. roller rink – making it the North West’s largest and pinkest – complete with a spinning disco ball, a state-of-the-art arcade filled with SEGA’s latest games, a private gaming vault, and dedicated party spaces.

The all new leisure space also contains a fully kitted out Archie’s Diner which will serve the full menu of burgers, fries, and signature shakes to guests. The brand which was originally founded in Manchester in 2010 has rapidly scaled to a portfolio of nine sites across four cities.

The team behind the celeb favourite has ambitious expansion plans for its Atomic concept, setting its sights on rolling it out further in other high-footfall shopping and leisure destinations across the country.

Nuno Lopes, Operations Director at Archie’s, commented: ”Following a hugely successful soft launch period, it’s great to finally be welcoming people into Archie’s Atomic. Our project team has truly outdone itself with the fit-out of this space, and it feels like a huge step forward for us as a brand. It’s been a pleasure to work with Peel Retail & Leisure, who we’ve felt a shared ambition and vision with throughout the project lifecycle. We look forward to partnering with developers of a similar calibre on future Atomic sites.”

Mark Whittaker, Managing Director at Peel Retail and Leisure, added: “We are absolutely delighted the doors are now open to Archies Atomic and our customers can experience all that this new flagship concept brings to Trafford Palazzo and the wider TraffordCity area.

Now home to the North’s largest roller rink as well as experience led-operators King Pins, Legoland, and Sealife, Trafford Palazzo is cementing its place as the go-to destination for unique leisure experiences in the North-West.”

The venue has a capacity of more than 750, and also plays host to its state-of-the-art arcade with basketball hoops, teddy pickers and driving simulators – in partnership with SEGA. Additionally, the venue takes gaming to the next level with its high-tech gaming vault, accommodating 2-8 players in a huge 270 sq.ft gaming space where they can choose from a wide variety of competitive games that test speed and agility.

Archie’s Atomic will be open 7 days a week from 10am-10pm, with the milkshake bar serving shakes, waffles, and ice cream from 10am, and the kitchen open from 11am.
