Turf Paradise is holding live horse racing after Thanksgiving.
The track announced that there will be live racing on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 29-30), bringing a long tradition back to the track in Phoenix.
Gates will open at 10 a.m. both days, with the first post time scheduled for 12:40 p.m.
General admission is $5 and includes entry to the grandstand and clubhouse. Grandstand seating is free. Clubhouse seating is $5.
General parking is free.
“A trip to the track after Thanksgiving has been a Phoenix tradition since 1956,” said Vince Francis, the track’s general manager. “We are proud to bring it back.”
Friday’s featured race at the track, located at 1501 W. Bell Road, is the $40,000 Wayne Brasher Memorial.
The track is offering a variety of food and drink specials during the two days of racing after Thanksgiving.
