Tyreek Hill, Dolphins restructure deal to give WR $106.5 million guaranteed over four years

Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins have agreed to rework the wide receiver’s deal, which will now be worth $90 million over three years with $65 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Marcel Louis-Jacques.

The new deal for the 30-year-old Hill does not add any years to his current contract, but will guarantee him $106.5 million over four years. That is close to the $110 million guaranteed in Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson’s new deal, which was agreed to in early June.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it is “the most guaranteed money added to a contract without adding new years in NFL history.”

It’s been quite a week for Hill, who was acquired by the Dolphins in a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. He became the only wide receiver in “Madden 25” to earn a 99 overall rating and he was voted No. 1 on the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2024 list.

Hill had 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns during the 2023 season. Both totals were tops in the NFL, as was his 112.4 receiving yards per game average.

This new reworked contract will keep Hill in Miami through the 2026 season. He’s locked in along with fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who are both tied with the team through 2028.
