The United States continues to lead the push for a cease-fire in the 10-month-old Israel-Hamas war, which would include a halt in fighting and the release of hostages taken in the October 7 terror attack on Israel. Negotiators were set to return to talks in Cairo by the end of the week, after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited the region. VOA’s Laurel Bowman has more from Washington.
