Jaron Ennis, the hometown hero, will step into the ring at Wells Fargo Center to defend his IBF welterweight title in Philadelphia against David Avanesyan in a 12-round bout on Saturday, July 13.
Ennis, with his impressive 31-0 record and 28 knockouts, was all set to face Candian Cody Crowley. However, a sudden twist occurred when Crowley was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an eye injury.
Avanesyan, with a record of 30 wins, four losses, and one draw, including 18 knockouts, is stepping into the ring for the second time to attempt to claim a world title. The Russian native previous defeat by Terence Crawford in 2022 has only add to his determination win this bout.
