Saturday night boxing action will see the World Boxing Organization (WBO) World Super Lightweight belt on the line in a nine-fight event. Title holder Teofimo Lopez (20-1-0, 13 KOs) will take on Steve Claggett (38-7-2, 26 KOs) from Miami.
Lopez is in the ring for the second time this year to defend his title. He won his first bout of the year against Jamaine Ortiz by unanimous decision in February. That marked his fourth consecutive win after losing to George Kambosos Jr. in a bout for three world lightweight titles in November 2021.

Claggett is in his first championship bout after winning the North American Boxing Federation Super Lightweight belt in November 2023. He’s on a run of nine wins, including four knockouts, since his last loss in April 2021.
Tonight, it’s down to two of the top super lightweight boxers in the world to decide the WBO world title: Lopez is ranked No. 4 in the world by Boxrec and Claggett isn’t far behind at No. 8. Here’s when they’ll face off:

There are eight bouts scheduled for the event, starting with middleweights Bryan Polaco and Richard Acevedo. That fight is set to start at 10 p.m. ET. With seven fights before Lopez vs. Claggett, they likely won’t begin until close to midnight ET.
