The 2024 Paris Olympics are fully underway, following the historic Opening Ceremony where more than 600,000 fans watched athletes from all over the world sail on boats down the Seine River in France.
While a majority of men’s and women’s sports have started, one of the notable events in the entire Olympic Games that haven’t yet are the track and field competitions.
This includes the highly anticipated debut at the 2024 Olympics for New Jersey’s own Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, one of, if not the best track superstar in the world right now.
The 24-year-old two-time gold medalist from Dunellen (400m hurdles and 4×400 relay team in 2020 Tokyo Olympics) is already participating in her third Olympic Games. She is coming off setting a new world record in the 400m hurdles (50.65 seconds) at the U.S. Olympic Trials in June.
As we get closer to seeing the former Union Catholic High School star defend her crown both individually at the 400m hurdles and with her teammates in the relays, here’s when McLaughlin-Levrone will be participating at the 2024 Paris Olympics:
When will Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone compete at 2024 Olympics?
When the track and field events begin Thursday, Aug. 1, we’ll first see McLaughlin-Levrone bright and early on Sunday, Aug. 4 and potentially all the way up until Saturday, Aug. 10 in the Women’s 4x400m Final, the day before the Closing Ceremony for the 2024 Olympics.

Sunday, Aug. 4: Women’s 400m Hurdles Round 1 from 4-7:15 a.m. ET

Tuesday, Aug. 6: Women’s 400m Hurdles Semifinals from 1-4 p.m. ET

Thursday, Aug. 8: Women’s 400m Hurdles Finals from 1-4 p.m. ET

Friday, Aug. 9: Women’s 4x400m, W 100mH SF and more from 4-7:15 a.m. ET

Saturday, Aug. 10: Women’s 4x400m Final & more from 1-3:30 p.m. ET
It will be an action-packed week for the New Jersey native, as she’ll also celebrate her 25th birthday on Aug. 7, right in between the semifinals and finals of the Women’s 400m in Paris.
