The United States women’s national soccer team will make its first tournament appearance under new head coach Emma Hayes at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Hayes took over as the USWNT’s head coach in May hoping to return the team to world champion status. She takes over after a disappointing run under Vlatko Andonovski that saw the American team settle for the bronze medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics before losing in the round of 16 in the 2023 World Cup.
The Americans haven’t won a gold medal at the Olympics since the 2012 London Games. Before winning the bronze medal at the 2020 Games, the USWNT lost to Sweden on penalties in the quarterfinals at the 2016 Rio Games.
Here’s the United States’ upcoming schedule in the group stage at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
