Who will Jake Paul fight next? Here are his options after Mike Tyson’s ulcer flareup

The Baddest Man on the Planet is trying to heal from an ulcer flare-up. The rest of the planet is dealing with the fallout.

Which is to say a massive void created by Tyson’s health and the postponement of the fight between the former champ and occasional chump, Jake Paul.

On Tuesday, Paul posted on his Instagram account a video clip of himself standing shirtless in a downpour. Text over the video reads, “Jake Paul depressed after Mike Tyson pulled out.”

So who wants in? Who’s ready to lace up boxing gloves and fight Paul?

Let the zany matchmaking begin!

Jake Paul has said on social media he is “depressed” after the fight against Mike Tyson was postponed.

Let’s start with a few helpful Instagram users who left their suggestions Tuesday on Paul’s account to fill in for the 57-year-old Tyson.

“Morgan freeman just turned 87 he’d be a great match up,” one Instagram user suggested.

Chimed in another, “Clint Eastwood just turned 95 he’d be a great match up.”

And, ‘’Joe Biden next?”

More brawling on the Hill is something nobody wants to see.

Will Logan Paul fight Jake Paul?

Jake Paul’s big brother posted on Twitter Friday night just hours after the Tyson-Paul fight had been officially postponed. “So Mike Tyson’s out? I’ll step in and we can settle this once and for all,’’ Logan Paul, 29, wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In return, Jake Paul wrote, “Mom doesn’t want me to KO you but (expletive) it. Loser has to change their last name #PaulVs.Paul.”

At one point, there was legitimate interest in a brotherly brawl. It still could be entertaining, if not a fair fight.

In June 2021, Logan Paul gained some cred when he survived an eight-round exhibition against Floyd Mayweather Jr. But he has largely focused on his career as a professional wrestler while Jake Paul has developed into a legitimate boxer and amassed a record of 9-1 with six knockouts.

If this fight happens, it’ll probably take place in their parents’ basement.

Who else is in the mix to possibly fight Jake Paul?

If you can’t have Tyson, how about the man who fought Tyson last?

That would be Roy Jones Jr., and guess what? He’s ready to rumble!

“Maybe I get myself in shape for that because I never thought about doing it before,’’ Jones told Betway, “but with the situation of the fight [being postponed], I think that’s a great idea.’’

Ideas aren’t the problem.

Amir Khan, former unified light-welterweight world champion, told Offshore Poker Sites he’s up for the challenge. Problem is, he last fought at 147.5 pounds. Jake Paul is preparing to fight Tyson as a heavyweight and recently said he weighed 230 pounds.

Similar situation for Ryan Garcia, who has called out Jake Paul despite typically fighting at more than 50 pounds less than The Problem Child does. But maybe Garcia will consume massive quantities of those raspberry and strawberry flavored supplements (the ones that were allegedly contaminated), then weigh in a few dozen pounds heavier than expected.

Jake Paul hasn’t sat idle either. He said he tried to line up a fight with YouTuber KSI.

Turns out KSI has a scheduling conflict.. But maybe Tommy Fury is ready for a rematch. Or Tyron Woodley wants a trilogy fight. Or, better yet, Dana White wants a piece of this action.

Of course there is another option.

Yours truly, representing journalists everywhere.

It’ll be a chance to resolve any differences, man to man.

Provided I wear headgear. And Jake wears pillows rather than gloves.

You know how to reach me, Netflix.
